Food trucks are gaining popularity across the country. What are they, exactly? They're large motorized vehicles or trailers equipped to cook, prepare, serve, and/or sell food. In the City of Birmingham, unless approved via a special event permit, food trucks are permitted on private property only. Recently, the City received a request to allow food trucks on public property. What’s your opinion about food trucks? Should they be allowed on public property, and if so, where?
