Consultation has concluded
As a part of the City of Birmingham’s Historic District Commission’s (HDC) larger preservation goals, the HDC will be embarking on a process to create an organized, holistic, and long-range approach to historic preservation and develop a Historic Preservation Master Plan. According to the National Parks Service, preservation planning is "the rational, systematic process by which a community develops a vision, goals, and priorities for the preservation of its historic and cultural resources. The community seeks to achieve its vision through its own actions and through influencing the actions of others. Goals and priorities are based on analyses of resource data and community values." The City is eager to hear from you about historic preservation!
