Name the Zamboni

The City of Birmingham's Ice Sports Arena has a brand new bright blue Zamboni and it needs a name! The city’s first electric Zamboni, it’s quieter and more efficient with lower operating costs than the 24-year-old propane-fueled machine it replaces. This machine will scrape, clean, and smooth the ice so that our skaters have a perfect skating surface. See it in action at the rink by the end of October, once staff is trained on all its new capabilities.

School-aged Birmingham residents are invited to help us name this hard-working vehicle. Submit your vote by Friday, November 15, 2024. The name with the most votes will be printed on the Zamboni and shared on social media.
